Brian began his relationship with the arts at the tender age of seven when he started guitar lessons and acting classes. This carried him through high school where he fronted a rock band as a singer/songwriter and performed in many plays. He entered Towson State University as a classical guitar performance major, but due to an injury to his left hand, graduated with a degree in liberal arts. He continued to teach private lessons and perform in a variety of pop ensembles while developing his career.
Brian used his background and interest in the arts to work closely with the Maryland Arts Festival and Catalyst Theatre Company at Towson University for two years after graduation. This is where he discovered his love of the arts in education.
While in York
County, PA he focused on producing and performing original music, film, theater.
Brian also lived NYC where he
directed and managed the Spark Peer Players and Eclectic Theatre Company;
touring musical theater troupes that worked in public high schools and
community centers.
In 1999 Brian and his wife moved to Bucks County from New York City. He established the Philadelphia campus of Day Jams, a rock and roll camp, in 2000. Brian also joined the faculty of the Community Conservatory of Music Doylestown, PA as Guitar Teacher. In 2002 Brian became CCM's Program Director.
Brian has had the opportunity to perform with hundreds of talented musicians of the last 25 years. He currently performs solo and with his flute and guitar duet Strings and Wind. Brian is currently working on his 7th album.Brian volunteers for the Philadelphia Classical Guitar Society and is the President of Camp Choconut, a boys overnight camp. He is an avid wind surfer and plays squash regularly.
